COMMUNICATING BEYOND WORDS

"One can wait for results but not wait to take action"

All of a sudden, the above phrase came up as a part of the dialogue with my dad today.
It was a spontaneous statement, coming out of nowhere.
Fortunately, both of us caught the words, and there was a considerable length of silence between us.

Dad was pondering over the meaning those words conveyed.
I was pondering, (rather wondering) the communication itself.

It has been proven that, as adults we do not read a sentence letter by letter.
We read it in chunks of several characters, or words.
The fastest readers, read in chunks of several paragraphs even a page, in one go.

We HAVE the capability to transfer/assimilate information not restricting to just words, but the meaning, emotions, feelings and the EXPERIENCE, all in one go.

Any communication process involves:

Emotion/Feeling/Thought -T R A N S L A T E--> Words/pictures/music x=T R A N S M I T=x--- Words/pictures/music -R E C O N S T R U C T--> Emotion/Feeling/Thought

The best form of communication - Going beyond words, can be picturized as:

Emotion/Feeling/Thought ---> x=T R A N S M I T=x ---> Emotion/Feeling/Thought

But, how?

We know few people are good in communicating the content beyond words.

Thinking deep into it, I am getting more and more questions. And I am shooting it here into this Blog.

May be, if you are also left with more questions, then this has met its objective. :)

More on.. ""One can wait for results but not wait to take action" later..

An Open Book

mm.. now friends started to ask, why a diary, that is open for all.. i can think of few criticism as well..
"Boy, you are boasting", "Will you dare to tell EVERYTHING in a blog?".

Let me tell you this. This Blog is mine. I decide what to put up, and what not to put up.

By blogging, I won't hurt the sentiments, privacy of anyone, living or dead. Satisfied?

OK. This does not mean, that this is a watered down version or going to be an absolutely bland page.

Taking inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi, I try to live an open life. Everyone can come, see, and go. Not many (watch out, I did not say any) hidden pages, or blacked out paragraphs.

An open book lifestyle calls for lots of responsibilities, discipline, respect to the society, that I live in and .
a fine sense of balance, maturity and self-righteousness.

I have decided. I am moving ahead. Thatz all...
Fate or Free will?

Life offers so many surprises. The unexpected happens. What we hold on tightly, fall apart. The so called 'permanent' proves to be temporary.

Such events, give us shock, grief, pain, hurt, anger and anguish. Those events pull us deeper into our Self. The most common question could be "Why me?". "Why did this happen to me?".

It leads to more questions on the unknowable, unpredictable, the change-master, and the ultimate certainty called the FATE. FATE always associates itself with change.

If there is no change, who cares about FATE? So long as, things happen as expected, who cares about future?

Instead of trying to fight out FATE, it is better to LIVE THROUGH fate. (and that is the only way).

Best of all, instead of digging back the history and questioning it and tiring our mind, better to DROP THE PAST, and move ahead.

There is more one can do NOW, than digging up history or building up future castles in air.

Most often we miss out, what is present NOW, either stuck in past or worrying about future.

Only in NOW, the moment where we ARE, carries tremendous potential to execute our free-will.

We live Life on a sliding scale. The future, becoming past every moment. The time we have in future is reducing and the past is accumulating.

We can not change the past, or DO SOMETHING for the future, until the future time is available to us as PRESENT.

All we are left is, PRESENT MOMENT, (the NOW), where we are free to choose whatever we want.

This moment is fully available for you and me.

What we do in NOW, becomes our FATE after a while. What we do in NOW, will give us more options to exercise our FREE WILL.

For example, if we decide,to sleep on all Sunday afternoons, we get nothing out of it, other than the comfort of the moment.

Instead, if we decide to take up some activity for enriching knowledge or get into a skill development course, we have done something for ourselves, that may be of use in long term.

See, how it works? The past is based on what we do NOW. The future is dependant on what happened in the past. And both the past and the future are tied up with what we do NOW.

The only freedom we have with us is NOW.

To sum it up, "Whatever has already happened is fate and what is going to happen is free will."

This is my first day in Blogging... Its long time since I wrote a diary.. (last diary was in 1987) I quit writing diary when people did not respect privacy and started to go through each day's entry with the fervor of watching a mega TV serial..

Tried to implement various cipher techniques, (much before, I heard the word and the phenomenon "computer") and continue writing diary.

Either the cipher was too tough to code, or I lost the keys after a while :(. I was left with garbled text and images... thatz it.

Now its time to restart accounting life and Life. (whatz the difference, i will tell u later).

happy reading..
