மெல்லிய
குளிர் வருடும்
அதிகாலை.

பூங்காவில்
பெயர் தெரியாத மரம்.
ஆனால், வாசம் மட்டும்
முப்பதடி பரப்பும்.

வெண்ணிற ஊதுகுழல்
நறுமண பூக்கள்,
கொட்டிக் கிடக்கும்
மரத்தடியிலும் பாதையிலும்
யாருக்காக?
இவ்வளவு?

பாதையின் அழுக்கிலும்
ஈரத்தில் மக்கி மறைந்தாலும்
வாசம் மட்டும் எஞ்சும்.
கெட்டாலும் மேன்மக்கள்...?

பூக்கள் ஆயுள்
மலர்ந்த பின்
ஒரு நாளோ இரு நாளோ?

ஆயினும் தினம் தினம்
மலர் சொரியும்.
பாதைக்கும்
மரம் கீழ் நிற்போர்/நடப்போர் மீதும் -
கோவில் தொடாத பூக்கள்.
கடவுள் தேடாத பூக்கள்.

பூ மேலே
 விழுந்ததும்
எச்சமோ என்ற அதிர்ச்சியில்
அவசரமாய் திட்டிவிட்டு
மரத்தடி விட்டு விலகுவோர்
வாடிக்கை / வேடிக்கை.
மரம் தென்றலின் தாலாட்டலில்
வாசம் வெகுதூரம் பரப்பி
மேலும் பூச்சொரியும்.

பூங்காவின் எந்த
அடையாளமுமற்று
இந்த கவிதையும்
மறைபொருள் கருத்தும்
கொடுத்த இந்த
பெயரில்லாத மரம்
எனக்கு
போதி மரம்.

Vishwaroopa - revealed

While meditating in Nanganallur Anjaneya Temple, (February last week, 2010), a revelation of why God is represented as huge statues happened.

Be it the Jesus statue in Rio, Murugan in Batu Caves, Mahavir in Shravanabelagula, Shiva in Murdeshwar, Ranganatha of Srirangam - men who created the physical representation of God always created big.

The realization of Self, the realization that Self is a drop in the ocean of Godness, which is present everywhere, all around brings submission and humility - instantly.

The realization blows away the mind, the intellect, all the identity that has been conditioned for years together - like a Tsunami.

I lose myself to become Him. Even this statement is not right. We become One. Ultimate merger. There is no difference, between us. Aham Brahmasmi.

With such Godness, when I look around, I am connected with everything. Everyone. Harmonized.
I see Godness everywhere. The darshan happens within. The realization is within.Full (everything is Me) and empty (I am nothing) at the same time. The Godness qualities of an indescribable depth of love, compassion, gratefulness, devotion, peace and wonder. A serene thoughtless, timeless state of existence.


This is Viswaroopa darshan. Expanding from a limited form, realize and merge into the Unlimited Formless.

Not that there is someone with 4 heads, and ten hands appearing before and asking "I appreciate your bakthi. what do you want?" It happens only in visual SFX. :)


How do the realized ones, convey this to others? To show the path for others, to remind of the greatness of God, who is everywhere - biggest of the big, widest of the width and deepest of the depth.

Create the replica of God - as big as possible. Through worshiping the statue, we are addressing the Indescribable One.

Zero - revealed

While driving down Western Express Highway, (jan-1-2010), another sutra was revealed.

It just flashed, out of nowhere and the thought certainly grabs the attention. It is vivid and not yet another random thought. The source of thought. I dont know.

"Zero should be worshipped. It is beyond a number. The shape does not have a start, and it does not have an end. It is the symbolism of motherhood - from where everything comes from and goes back too. Zero symbolizes the Absolute and the Nothing at the same time.

Even mathematically, any no. trying to divide (or even multiply) zero gets zero as an answer, symbolizing its infinite nature. Infinity divided or multiplied by anything is still infinite.

Also, any number getting divided or multiplied by zero, leads to infinity, symbolizing the nothingness in it. Finite merging into infinite. Zero transforms the finite completely."

Sex, sanyasi, sensations

The world is funny! Few weeks back there was this Sun TV that was tantalizing TN with repeat, re-re-repeat of the 'sharing' and 'bonding' of Ranjita & Nityanandha nee Rajasekhar. That was quite a hot video - And poor FTV got banned for a while, for being obscene. Can the ministry of I&B shun Sun TV?

There was furor. Destruction of the ashram; and feelings ranging from Innocent question of "Was that REALLY nityananda swamiji?" to outright jealous "I do not get to enjoy and this guy is sc**wing around?"

The crux was "how can a sanyasi enjoy sex?'

Now, the public has conveniently forgotten the whole episode, excepting Dinakaran and Nakkheeran who are still carrying this in the home page of their websites. Nakkheeran was even peddling the ‘full’ video for anyone ,whoever subscribed to their website for a year.

Nityananda has come out with another video, this time a tightly framed footage (I guess Osama popularized the culture of fugitive-celebrity video blogging) that he is getting into deeper penance, away from the Ashram (and actresses) – spiritual seclusion, in his own words.


Right said Buddha, "Desire is the root cause of all evil."

Here is my take on the situation:

Whatever Nitya said/preached holds well whether he screws someone or not. The so called devotees – Better start to look up.

Whatever events happened is a test - for both the Guru and the Shishya.

An integrity test for the Guru - to understand his weakness and a test of faith for the disciple.

Whoever is a sincere seeker is not swayed by the incident. They steadfast continue their path. They have the clarity – the guru is a sign post and sign posts need not have to travel with them.

The celebrity status of the Guru and the cult-like followers are gone.
What else can be a better time, than now, to look at what Nitya has shared as wisdom?

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." – Jesus of Nazareth

Whoever got disturbed has to understand that they have brought in their judgment and their own petty mind into the Guru-Shishya relationship.

Whoever burnt, stomped, attacked the ashram and the followers, are the Hindu equivalent of the Jihadis. They are the emotional idiots, who have not realized their own mind's making.

Nitya, as guru of the ashram, did the right thing - gave up the control of the ashram, whose wealth status had attracted the ire.

I am sure, Nitya will re-surface and will come back strongly than before.

I will not be surprised, the whole fiasco disappearing from the media (and hence public memory) completely, as soon as the political objectives behind the sting operation were achieved.

How soon? Depends on the political climate and the public mood. Anyway, the public memory is short lived and opinions are relative. Just one more scandal in the region, Nitya episode will be - End of "nityananda" - Season I
